Restaurant · Madragoa, Lisbon

Travessa do Sal

The note

A neighbourhood dining room the locals guard quietly, the right kind of place for a second date.

Madragoa keeps it to itself, which is rather the point. Fifteen tables, a daily fish, candlelight that is not trying to be anything. Book the small back room and ask for whatever came in that morning. It is not a place you discover by walking past, and that is exactly why it works.
